Washi Paper Yarn, often simply referred to as “paper yarn,” is a natural plant-based fiber yarn made by cutting traditional Japanese washi paper into fine strips and then twisting them together. It is essentially a high-end, traditional type of eco-friendly paper yarn. Our paper yarn adopts FSC natural pulp, has quality and performance comparable to washi yarn. It can be used in kimonos, yukata, yukata hats, bathrobes, fans, summer clothing, shirts, skirts, hats, and more.
